let me take a wild guess and say it will give Eren the same abilities as the giants the ability to regenerate lost limbs 😃

Ah, good thought - though not as interesting as having to work around his problems or a false protagonist twist.

I knew that Eren wouldn't die so easily, but to gain the ability to become a giant (in addition to regenerate lost limbs) was unexpected. I wonder what will happen next in volume 3 and whether he will be praised or shunned (or worse).

Well, Eren can regenerate, but not sure he becomes a giant, more like he acts like a parasite and control the giant.

I agree with makoz, it's likely a parasitic relationship. I think his arm regenerated because he kind of "jacked into" the giant's nervous system, temporarily gaining their regenerative abilities. It would be kind of funny that in order to take over a giant, he needs to be swallowed by them 😀

hmm...maybe you are right about Eren becoming some kind of parasite since after the Titan fall he was coming out from inside the Titan's neck, right on the place where his weak spot is located. 😎

this manga its quite good, also that injection that the father of eren gave to him seems to be very important, also i knew that eren wouldt have died to easely, since he got swallowed whole i thought he would kill the giant from inside out, but at the moment i saw that giant take battle stance and start killing giants i knew it, =O THATS EREN!! HE asimilated the giant! and glad i was right, but the lastest chapter 10 its odd... it dosnt have anything to do with the current situation

Chapter 10 seems to be a side story, about Commander Levi, it doesn't contine on from chapter 9.

you all good sirs, i will monitor this thread too.
😀
grammar mistake is intentional, grammar nazis need their entertainment.
this is really good...I wonder if Eren can choose to become a certain part of a titian...
His father disappeared right before the Giant Titian came, could it be possible that his father has the connection to that 50m+ titian?
I think that transforming into a titian takes a toll on his health either physical or mental perhaps both... do you think the more he transforms the more he loses "human qualities" and obtains more "titian qualities" by qualities I mean by mental not physical.

this manga is really surprising
every time i think a theory or idea to predict what the story would turn out it get falsified by a twist and every trope i think would be used is averted
the giants are sure a mystery, they can't reproduce, and the 50m titan appeared and disappeared with that vapor,
and some titans strangely look too ordinary than the humans in the manga the titans are as terrifying as middle-age drawings folklore monsters

I think it allowed Eren to assimilate the Titan's habilities by connecting their blood or something, maybe it was Titans' blood and the ones with weak minds become ghouls 😛 (I know this is not a vampire story). I thought this because he needs to hurt himself to create the Titan form. What is the connection between need of sunlight x heat x size of their bodies? Considering what was said, Titan's doesn't need to eat humans, so maybe they do because human thoughts are attractive. Maybe the titans are human's creation like bioweapons and Eren's father was one of the creators. But this sounds sooo previsible... Could the Titans be some sort of Planarian? 😛 ewk.!
