i would make an apathetic uncaring character, who's only interest is escaping the tedium of life, ie: finding something interesting. kind of like Oboro Mochizuki in psyren only more extreme. Put him in a slice of life manga that devolves into something supernatural/horror, but instead of freaking out and wanting everything to go back to normal(like every character ever), he accepts and relishes the horror of the changing situation. basically the more the surreal and horrifying the situation becomes, the more interested he would be, all the time walking around with a stoic and unreadable expression.

Aside from my epic harem lead idea, I would create a ninja. A real ninja. And stick him into Naruto so he can pwn everyone with his sheer ninjatude.

There are only 2 parts where Gohan is stronger than Goku, and Gohan STILL messes it up in the end. What I don't get about GT is why Gohan doesn't have that super duper elder kai power.

For all shoujos: one female lead who has a backbone and scan stand up for herself and not be stuck in the usual romance cliches that names you feel you're Reading the same thing over and over again
For shounens: the whole "damsel-in-distress" crap pisses me off
Males for shoujos: bishielicious, quiet, and NOT AN ASSHOLE. Also no perfection - hots AND good marks? Please. Make it hot and horrible grades, and not a playboy either. >_>; And no "he can get good grades but just doesnt try". He's outright stupid. :> And a little bit of denseness never hurt anybody. I'm sick of the female being the dense one. T_T; AND NOT WHEN IT COMES TO ROMANCE. Dense for... Just about everything.
For shounens: No annoying male leads who pull deus ex machina out of their ass last 2 minutes
