Gizdiću, ne čitaj mi postove, degenu jedan!!
Pretty good...first impression when I saw the art: "Crazy Japanese version of Nightmare before Christmas" (Don't ask where I got that, I have no idea either. It just popped up in my mind 🤣 ) and it's been a while since I heard a song from T.M. Revolution
Maka's voice was kind of... 😲 🤢

i just started watching the anime, but can anyone tell me if it sticks to the original story?
or does it deviate like FMA?
😕

I thought the same thing! I was looking to see if maybe Tim Burton was in the credits or something. The whole setup seemed something similar to what he might do, and the moon reminds me of the villain from that movie {Boogy man? I think}

awesome, do you know when it starts to deviate?
cause i wanna re-read some of the manga to refresh my memory, but if i could use the anime to review than it can also help me practise my japanese at the same time 😛

I like Soul Eater anime and I am waiting for it to be over before I start the manga. For what I see so far both anime and manga will have a different ending.

Im near episode 20, and so far its exactly like the manga, with the exception of a filler or two.
im just starting to wonder what the ending will be like, once it does start to deviate 😕
(if you're ahead of me or finished the anime, no spoilers please 😛 or at least box them 🙂 )

It starts to deviate around episode 37?, not sure where exactly. It actually has acouple of very small deviations throughtout the story, characters roles and plot, before vering off the manga story line at around that episode. I was waiting for it to happen, and I don't have particularly high expectations for it, though I do enjoy it. I wished Studio BONES had done the rest of FMA properly because the manga story is more solid and right now is excellent. Soul Eater is also having some pretty epic moments at the moment. I like manga>anime.

Awesome thanx for the heads up!
and ya i hate it when manga based anime's deviate from storyline, they just end up shooting themselves in the foot and ruining the epic manga story lines x.x
as for FMA i watched the anime first, and when i switched to the manga i was really surprised as to how much it had actually deviated 😲
