Does anyone know how long the hiatus for Berserk is? Hopefully it doesnt end up like UxU.

Berserk goes through periods of releasing a few chapters followed by long breaks; it's just the release schedule the author has ended up with. I don't think the current hiatus is even different from his usual schedule

Ah, yeah that does sound much more fun than trying to make the story of berserk so intricate that eventually no one will know wtf is going on xD. The way it's going now it looks like i'm gonna be reading berserk when i'm 40 Dx , unless he makes something extremely anti-climactic and ends it.

If he does that I'm sure the world's otakus will find him and.... bury him alive. 20 years and the story is like what... Half done?

I wish he'd turn the whole thing into a novel so its already all written out start to finish. @ his current rate of releases he'll be dead long before the story's anywhere near completion.

if he dies before completion, we shall pull his soul from beyond and make he finish.

Oh! There's a new Berserk reader. Welcome to the World of Pain and Suffering. I remembered when I started reading Berserk. It's so good, I also ended up reading everything in one go. Then eagerly waiting for the new releases, just to be confused that after about 2 months waiting, there're no new releases. So I did exactly what you did, asking around fellow Berserk fans in the forums about the releases, only to found out that Miura is a d**k!!! I still remembered that a few years back there were only THREE (3) RELEASES A YEAR!

Three releases a year? I don't think berserk has ever gone that slow. Seeing as he's gotten a book out every year. Which until the most recent volume meant 10 chapters a year.

why does he go on such long hiatuses?

the obvious reason would be
he[and his team] can
[big enogh fanbase and sales to let the team do what they want]
mixed in with that is most likely that they dont know or are not able agree on how to continue the story
like what is going to happen[exactly] on fairyisland
and they could very well be bored with working on berserk

It's simple. When he needs money he releases a new Berserk chapter.
