What are you talking about? In an interview, Miura answered what is his work schedule:

Kentarou Miura: I start working at 2:00 PM and I finish at 7:00 AM. Of course, the time I spend eating is included. I work 15-16 hours everyday, without holidays.

The reason why each chapter takes so long is because Miura is trying to provide his readers with the most beautifully detailed artwork he could ever produce and that takes time. Personally, I'd prefer if he sacrificed his artwork for faster releases, but that's just me. If Hakusensha allows it, there's nothing to be done.

and the god hand backs off, Gutts has beef with Griffith only.

as for Miura, he has whole team working for him. or should have anyway, the manga being so successful team should be x5 times bigger too. all typical mangaka does is lineart.

come on, you really think it takes a year to finish 3 chapters? while he used to do 1/month before? hes just ran out of interest to proceed it.

as for movie, its released in 3d and i heard harsh feedback on it. die hard fans will purchase it nonetheless of course.

ps now that everyone keeps saying loli loli i notice that Berserk did get influenced by eroges ._. sadface.

Compare the art of the latest chapter of Berserk with the art of his first ten published chapters: There's simply no comparison. Miura has developed a kind of obsession with having the most detailed artwork and having epic scenes and fights that take an eternity to draw. Again, I'd prefer for him to return to his earlier crappy art style and have a constant serialization but the publisher seems to be happy with having like 5 extremely well done (too well done, I may add) chapters a year, so nothing can be done.

Instead of the time it takes the manga to be published, I am more worried about the current status of the manga: I was okay with the present arc since it was done to introduce a new character (the half-mermaid girl) but now the new developments seem to suggest she is not even going to stay with the group, so what was the point of the sea-god arc? There has been no story development, no character development, no nothing. In fact, there was some development before the arc began but by the looks of it you could probably, in the future, skip the whole sea-god arc and not miss anything important. If future story arcs are going to have the quality of the present one, the future of Berserk seems kind of grim, I'd say.

it is still something predictable, prolly same as with Guts and Griffith. theres just no way something mindblowing gonna happen again. golden age is... well, gone x] both for them and us alike.

do any of you write fanfics or rpgs or draw mangas? you should know, once so close to the ending and you know how it all pans out, theres just not much incentive to create it. cause its already done in ur heads. x] i think its the same for Miura.

do not be mistaken though, id love to see Berserk finished in Miuras lifetime! =D real thing > knowing whats coming

Even if it's predictable a SK vs Void flashback will still probably happen, and it'll take a year or more for it to finish lol >>.
I'll lol if the real story takes some weird turn and comes out completely random.

So what is the current status? I mean when it will be back. If we go by the current pace,I am sure that after 10-12 years,Guts and Griffith will finally collide and then 5-6 years before Griffith is defeated. So 20 years is the estimated time before Berserk ends.
