Hello MangaUpdates Team!

I want to use the tags/categories data on MangaUpdates. I am planning on not scraping the website with a program (python or JavaScript). I plan on manually copying and pasting each page of the tags/categories list page. But to use that data, I need your permission. I plan on making sure that credit is attributed to the website if this gets published.

I have tried to contact the MangaUpdates team multiple times but I didn’t get a response. Once through the API email help address and direct message to one of the owners of the website. I have also created a previous topic on this forum but no dice or response.

Please! Let me have permission to use your data.

I don’t know how to use your API to get all of the tags/categories data. If I used it, I have a feeling that I would lock it up because I just need a data dump.

Your data is amazing and I think I could learn a lot from it.

Hi,

Our acceptable use policy is on the API page. What you want to do is not prohibited, provided it doesn't contribute to illegal activities, defraud or trick users, etc. You also have to include an attribution.
