Sorry that I had to start a new topic and all. But I've done everything I could think of to try to find what this manga is or who it is by.

The problem is, that I can remember reading part of it, but I can't remember the title, the mangaka, or any of the character names. Which pretty much makes it almost impossible to figure out. I've gone to all the genre searches I know of and put in what I thought it may possibly fall under, but I haven't found any that look like it to me. Maybe I'm missing something totally obvious, I don't know.

If you guys could help out, that would be great! But all I can offer is a description of what I remember (soon to follow), so I understand if no one can help. But, I appreciate the thought or effort!!

Anyhow, what I remember:

The manga was about a girl who had just transferred schools. In this new school there was a group of boys that were in a gang. The girl was really attractive and sort of did her own thing, so the gang leader decided that he was going to make her meet him. She didn't want to, but something ended up happening that she did. When she went to meet him at the gang hang out she still resisted doing everything he told her to. So, he hit her. The only part I really remember well is that while he was hitting her she refused to show any reaction. In her head, she was thinking that she knew what to do when in a fight, the thing was to just go limp and wait for the person beating you to stop.

Does this sound remotely familiar to anyone? Maybe I dreamed it up, but I'm pretty sure I didn't. I had thought it was by Minami Kanaan or Kayono or something, but that wasn't the case. I have no idea who else it may be.

From what i remember Hana yori Dango has a similar plot. That would be my first guess.

But I remember reading something awfully similar to that...

Well...in Cutie Boy, from what I can remember, I haven't read it in a long time, she doesn't transfer schools, and the guy IS in a gang, but she doesn't meet him as the gang leader, but as this guy who's putting up a facade.
But that part about pretending to be limp sounds very similar to it...

But wait, it's not Hana Yori Dango either because Tsukasa(I think that's her name? W/e XD), she's not "attractive" as said in the manga, she's just average with nothing special to her except a kickass personality. XD

So maybe it is Cutie Boy...

I'm sorta thinking that its a manhwa though.
not cutie boy though, but pretty sure its Hwang Ri Mi title.

It's not Cutie Boy...the girl is weak and scared, plus I think she went to an all-girls school. Though the possibility of it being a work of Hwang Mi Ri is high

Definitely sounds like manhwa; a girl actually getting hit is MUCH more likely to happen in manhwa than manga.

I almost think I've read this one too, but I can't pin it down... 😔

I went ahead and checked out Cutie Boy, and it's really funny! It wasn't the one I was looking for though. The one I had in mine was Girl in Heels; psychotrky was right. So I'm glad that I know that one again now too!! Thanks for helping everyone!!
