Of all the Grand Theft Auto games out there, which one is considered your favorite?

For me, it would have to be Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto IV.

Both were just very awesome, right down with great gameplay, good voice actings and over the top story. 😀

Well, that's all I have to say.

Honestly, GTA II was my favorite, it had the best storyline.
San Andreas had the most depth to the gameplay aspect.
GTA IV was amazing cause of those graphics... My god. 😀

Got to vote for San Andreas; it had a really compelling story line. Plus I liked how you could form gangs and have your own territories.

Grand Theft Auto IV. I'd say San Andreas, but the things you see when you make Niko get on the internet are too damn funny and truthful to just ignore (Especially that website that's a parody of Classmates.com).

I'll say San Andreas.

For once my favorite is in the majority, yay.

The only one I've ever played was Vice City. I enjoyed going on a shooting rampage, stealing cars and picking up hookers.

Never did too well with the missions.

Been playing Chinatown Wars on the DS for the past couple of days, and even at this early stage, I feel it's probably the best GTA game I've played (or at least a tie with San Andreas).

I'll update this post with more impressions after I get more playtime.

I returned GTA IV (PS3) after a week... didn't really enjoy that one all that much.

Grand theft auto 2 was by FAR the best in the series. It gave you the freedom to do jobs for any gang you wanted, and you could switch at any time. Each gang had a reputation meter assosiated with you, helping one made the others hate you, and if they hated you enough they'd send hit squads/shoot on site. Meanwhile if gangs liked you, they'd help defend you if you were on their territory. Also the cops did much cooler stuff (I love the types of barricades in 2).

Where is the option of GTA, GTA: London and GTA 2?! 😕

Id say GTA 2 was the one i like the most, its far better than any late sequel this game had.. every city having three sides(although Zaibatsu was in every city), with unique quests and stories.. i still remember how u had to collect people on the bus and then bring them to a factory to make hotdogs (not sure, it was long ago) out of them and then sell them on the streets.. the quest are just so MUCH MORE funnier and enjoyable than the ones from the latest parts...

I also liked the first GTA, cause it was the first one, had no map and if u had one cop on ur tail he wouldnt disappear till u collect bribe thingy or paint ur car... which was tough to find because sometimes and more so at the beginning of the game u had totally no idea where were u exactly.. and i still remember the phrase that was said to u by a mafia boss when u finished the first city with this De-Niro-Godfather-like-voice "Cross me again, ill stick a gun up ur ass and blow out ur f*cking eyeballs" 😀
