Anyway, do you think we'll ever find out why the rings the Akatsuki members wear are so important? I remember Deidara being more worried about losing the ring than losing his arm, so it must have some kind of importance other than signifying who goes where on those fingers and thumbs of that chakra sealing monster thing.

I never noticed Deidara mentioning how his ring was important. I did notice the ring on his finger and Itachi's but never really paid attention to it. Maybe it is part of another secret plan. 😲

I think it's something to do with the sealing statue. I cant remember but I'm quite sure the ring finger usually the same as the finger they stand on.

I do seem to remember Deidara making a big deal out of losing his ring. Also, Tobi had to find the lost ring to join. They seem to be very important, but I could not tell you why. The only thing I do not understand is that Orochimaru still had his ring. I do not recall anyone going to collect the ring after he died. Also, if the rings are that important, then why didn't someone just go kill Orochimaru long ago, take the ring, and find a new member to replace him?

no, but i think its a ring to enter that secret hideout cave which had a seal in it, or something... cause i vaguely remember itachi did something with that ring to open it, or maybe it was something else... i dont think theyre of an important element to the story...

in tobis case, obviously he was the leader and he was just playing dumb,, acting as a ordinary member...

like the akatsuki didnt care at all when deidara died, nor the zombie duos, and the 2 recent ones that betrayed with one dieing... and i dont see sasuke nor the other 3 wearing them or needing them... i guess the hideouts not that important anymore, considering the story is pretty much wrapping up...

I think that they prove that you a member of akatsuki since in one chapter

Toby tried to get the ring that belonged to sasori so he would be an offical member of akatski. Inspite of all this Sasuke is a member but does not have a ring.

Actually, Akatsuki has been looking for Orochimaru all of this time. Yamato says it here. But it seems like they were more worried about getting those tailed beasts than him. And besides, if they got the tailed beasts and finish their superweapon, then they could start destroying countries and could easily kill Orochimaru that way instead of combing through every country trying to find one person.

I think the akatsuki rings are used to establish ranks between all the members. also i think that it's another way to identify them as akatsuki along side their coats and scratched headbands. i can agree with people that say that if you got a ring it just means your part of akatsuki.Of course i could be wrong about my first theory because tobi (sneezes madara) got sasoris ring and i think the remaing akatsuki members except Zetsu knows that his true identity is indeed madara! and we all know that sasori compared to madara is a is a 5 year old girl!!!! not to change the subject but.......why do they wear nailpolish?
