I just thought it be fun and all on how “we” the leecher think of our great and hard working scanlator. This is just a friendly contest to vote for our favorite scanlation group in each category. This is the 1st contest so if there missing category then I may have edits and stuff, and I may have to explain each category. You can vote or name the same scanlation group as long as they in different categories.You don't have to vote for every category,so you can skip some.Contest start from today (05/31/08) thru the end of June (06/30/30) and I will post in bold letter that it end and start a new post with the winner from the vote of leecher like us.

Why isn't there a best group for Yaoi/shounen-ai? this genre is almost as popular as shounen and shoujo too xD. Maybe you consider them on a seperate list like shoujo and shounen instead grouping them at " 9.)Best Hentai, Adult, and/or Mature Scanlation Group".

I agree. The yaoi/shounen-ai scanlating community is just as big as the shoujo and shounen ones, and definitely bigger than josei. Mind if I suggest adding that onto the list? 😁

2.)Best in quick releases- The LQ hurried weekly releases. Works for desperate people, and who are we to complain?
3.)Best in quality- Anything with clean, nice, typo-less HQ scans.
4.)Best Shounen Scanlation Group- Timcanpi. I miss them ;_;. Lots of others too.
5.)Best Seinen Scanlation Group- Omanga or Snoopycool
6.)Best Shoujo Scanlation Group- Aerandria or Storm in Heaven
7.)Best Josei Scanlation Group- Niobe scans (because they picked up some awesome projects)

cuz im sure no one dl/read manga from EVERY scanlation group out there. (if there is....that person needs to get a life)

I'm against this. People are scanlating manga for you (and themselves, probably). You should be happy people are even bothering to translate your favourite manga. There shouldn't be any competition between them all.
As someone else stated, there's bound to be dedicated scanlation groups out there only few know. So the obvious ones are going to be catapulted to the top. IMO, a certain series only needs one scanlation group, what's the point of having multiple when the others could be working or fresh stuff eh?

Yeah, I vote for this to get locked too~ Someone already suggested to 'evaluate' the scanlators, and give them points, but that idea was rejected.
