No matter how attached I am to a character, I'll always read on. I might've gotten teary a couple of times over manga, but never once has it been over the demise of a character. Death happens - my not reading it won't delay the inevitable so just get it over and done with. Plus, it's interesting to see how it's carried out...
I would read/watch as normal.

You are like the dense main character in a shoujo manga.

The favorite character isn't the only thing I would like about the manga.

I might of in the past, but now I've learned to just appreciate their character even more when they are still there.
Depends really. If the manga's good enough that I've become emotionally invested in the character I'll probably drop it for a week, mope around, and go back to it because its just that darn good. Otherwise, I'll just keep on reading.

I'd continue reading it.

Just because someone's head was chopped off doesn't mean they're dead. That's just silly.

I don't give a damn, really 🤣
I'd just keep reading. There has been only manga in the world that made me cry (Deep Love - Pao no Monogatari), and that too over the death of the dog - not the tragic girl or the old grandma.
Generally, no matter how fond I am of a fictitious character, I never quite forget what it is - a figment of someone's imagination. And if that someone doesn't have the right to kill off his/her own creation, then who does?
I'd actually hate it more if my favourite character is alive and kicking while doing stupid / annoying / disgusting things that I disapprove of. In that case, I'd rather they died before such a thing happened, leaving me to cherish the memories of their glory days forever 🙂

I don't really know for sure but i will probably continue to read since most of the time when i have a favorite character it's the main character of the manga and i wouldn't mind from time to time having the main characted die for a change.
I'll continue reading. And it would actually be interesting to see how my favorite character would die...would they die an awesome way making me like them more, or would it bleh?

If the character was the best thing about the manga (or their involvement in the story is basically so important taking them out wouldn't leave much of a story there[there are characters like that]) I would stop after their death. It's not an offense to the manga or anything, but it was a good time, the character was great, and I'll just stop now.
If there were other great characters or the story wasn't too intertwined with their life and could go on without them, I'll keep reading.

I'll read on no matter what, but if the death of the character is done poorly, I'd rant at the author.

I'd skip to the death part and read it. If I thought that it was decent enough, I'd go back to where I was and continue reading from there.
The only reason I can do that is because I mostly only read completed mangas. If the manga was ongoing, I'd probably just stop reading it. 🙁
I'd just keep reading. I'll try to be less attached to the characters.
