The past 'daily life' tidbits are probably the calm before the real storm. It's sort of annoying that the story took a huge time jump. 5 months. Though I hate the idea, I guess the story is really headed towards its finale. I wanted to see Negi grow a little older though. Like around 16-17.

chances are they might do that, they brought up how hes immortal now, he may age a bit more but stop like eva, and everyone graduated after a 5 month jump.
these being the case the cast will most likely get broken apart but brought back together for negi's sake in the final confrontation with cosmos/his father, that should be after he ages a bit. it really feels like akumatsu sensei wants to age negi and the rest of the cast.
but i know what you mean, i wanna cry already, ive been following this series since vol 2-3 reading each chapter each week... this series has become necessity in my daily life, and when its gone ill feel empty starts to cry, but ya, i hope akumatsu sensei doesn't retire with negima (hoping he already has another series planed). "first he ended love hina, now he plans to end negima how selfish!!!" is what i wish i could say lol sigh i look foward to an amazing rest of the series!
(would be amazing if there was a visual novel of negima that captures the essence of the manga, i wanna see negi with each one of the cast members along with more development of each character further in dept.)

I think we've hit the make or break point for Negima now.
I've enjoyed the series immensely to this point but to be honest I wouldn't know what to expect with a likely timeskip a lot of answers needed for the whole mage of the beginning/end or whatever business. Also terraforming mars and who he ends up with the end or will it truly be a harem end.
