I am a big fan of Berserk but for the last year and something it's been madness for me. So I was wondering if anyone could help me out and shed some light as to what exactly is going on with Miura. Does he have problems, or is he out of ideas. Why has it come to one chapter a month or even longer. Has anyone heard anything concrete?

The art alone requires a huge amount of time. Frankly i don't care how long I have to wait 'cause the arts are some of the finest in manga history. Other than that I dunno... Lazy? perhaps... Bastard? who knows. You have to know him.

I know that he makes 1 or 1.5 volume per year but i havent seen any new chp since June.Any1 know when the new chp is coming out?

Well, it's not that I am complaining. Berserk is a story worth waiting, but the fact remains that I prefer to know that one chapter will come every month (although I would prefer two a month) instead of not knowing. It's somewhat unsettling (I am not sure for the word) not knowing... Just that.... Lately there has been many series that were canceled although popular and even though this happening to berserk is one in a million and even less chance I can't help but to worry...

Hey, if he wants to spend a few months researching Medieval torture methods or learning to draw pirate ships or trolls or working out what the elf-island is gonna look like then let him.
One of the reasons the story hasn't degenerated into crap after so long, and that the art is so much better than when it started, is that he takes time over it, and they're obviously working up to something big anyway.

Anyway, a chapter just came out,

even though not a lot happened.. and theres meant to be another one mid-November. 🙂 🙂 cant complain..

I have stopped reading at chapter 286, im so tired of waiting... so i decided im gonna read it again when its finished. Hopefully i will be still alive by then 😀

yeah <_<;;; i'm 20 now so if he releases only one chapter per month then thats only 1.2 volume ....wondering....I think it's more like he's the one that's gonna die first O_O...

dont u guys worry, japanese heritages live up to 100, guy will do alright, hes like only in the 40s now, pretty sure another 20 years would do some good...

i believe, they have to take a break sometime... what are the japanese people, slaves/b*tches to america? no... besides, its you guys whos watching these arts from illegal methods, lol...

well the point is, i believe miura owns his own big studio with group of people working under him... and it takes alot of time and budget and editting to make this story as perfect as possible... dont forget, drawing alone can be a pain in the @$$, but considering how berserk made it today for 20 years without a bit of crack in its story, means they really overworked themselves... its just hard i believe to put together all the story into one simple line, considering the art and story now is getting more modernized little by little towards today's environment if you noticed.... i say he'll be back pretty soon... be patient and for now take a look at naruto, bleach, one piece, and claymore while youre waiting 😀
