Image Comparison Software

I often download all scans of a series from the groups that are scanlating them (minus the LQ scans), but I need a software which will let me compare pages of the same chapter ( side by side ) but from the different groups to see which is of a better quality for archiving. I can't imagine much if any exist but if there is let me know. Also if it can work with zips/rars that's a bonus.

You don't need special software for that.
Just open up whatever page you want to compare in each of them and switch between them. Your memory can't be so bad that you'd forget an image you saw less than a second ago.

Photoshop takes too long to load up - i much prefer a quicker software. And my default image viewer is windows, and it won't let me load up two application windows at the same time. It's not just for the major differences but also minute changes too (ie one pack has been compressed to another file format, so flicking between the two isn't always the best solution i'm afraid).

There's your problem right there.
Use irfanview. It's an excellent image viewing program. Then you can have multiple images open at the same time.

"In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face is that, in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is more meaningful than our criticism designating it so."

CDisplay won't load two different images from two different locations at once.

http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/image-comparer-30/ - i usually check this site as they give away a "usually commercial but install today and it's totally free, registered etc.." software and found this. Not tried it yet so i can't give an opinion on it but since i asked about stuff like this and it seemed relevent, figured why not.
