This week's poll was suggested by Yask. Has your manga reading habits changed in the past year?
You can submit poll ideas here
http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=3903
Previous Poll Results:
Question: Would being forced to undergo a personality altering procedure, like a lobotomy, be an acceptable replacement / alternative for the death penalty?
Choices:
I don't believe in the death penalty - votes: 1209 (34.6%)
No - votes: 1766 (50.5%)
Yes - votes: 521 (14.9%)
There were 3496 total votes.
The poll ended: May 8th 2021
Does that mean more people accept the death penalty than not?

This is kinda an unfair metric...
- mangadex is down, the prefered reading point for many
- there’s not just manga, but yea, this is a manga-centric site so sure, I get it...
I refuse to reset all my mangadex link to another aggregator... sure, maybe if it wasn’t coming back but it is!
mutters about needing to reset his Links anyways as mangastorm probably won’t update to the new api
Now enough of that, let’s get back to reading! 😎
Yes, I run LetItGo-Scans.blogspot.ca. Where we don't just let things go.

Welcoming suggestions for reading.

I got to read more. Like, a lot and I find it troubling. Pre-pandemic, I could only read & complete a manga/week. I started an account on this site April last year and checking my completed list, I have added around 650 manga in it. Checking the completion date, there are times when I complete 5 mangas/day.
About the same. My manga backlog is nonexistent and scanlation, translation or even publishing speeds didn´t magically explode. So not much changed.
I also read EU/US comics and am a librarian.

Also there's ton of manga I had there that I didn't list here so it's harder to notice if they update.

I haven't got to read as much as I did in the past 😢 , but I'd say it has more to do with my work schedule than the pandemic. All the recent world and local events have really put a fire under me to complete my personal/financial goals as soon as possible; just in case things get worse. 😔

My manga reading habits didn't change at all. I did, however, get way into speedrunning various web games that few others are interested in.
Especially pico-8 games.
Yeah Mangadex being down is the exact reason why I read less manga lately mmm...
I will change this world mmm...
So the world can change me mmm...

How is it both, on here and on imageboards, I've seen people talking about how they cannot read their favorite series because of one site going down when you can find another with a simple web search?

I am watching more anime. Anime is cool. Still read a manga once in a while.

About the same.
I thought I'd be able to do other things more though, like finally get into my video game backlog, but instead I picked up webnovel translating. I really gotta stop procrastinating on doing even the things I like to do, jeez.

I'm not sure if I should answer, "more", "less", or "about the same".
If you're talking about manga only, I think it's been "less" especially since mangadex was taken down currently. (Some of the manga in my MD reading list wasn't listed here so it's hard to keep track, not to mention that now I have to read some manga right in the scanlator's site, or looking for other sites that may have or may have not the chapter/the title. It's tiring to browse from one site to another. Some series aren't even updated for months/years, so I decided to drop quite a lot.)
I felt like I've been reading "more" manhwa webtoon this past year. It's updated with a routine schedule and easier to be accessed (legally) than manga. Even my completed list this past year consists more manhwa than manga.
But if it doesn't matter whether it's manhwa or manga, I think it's "about the same".
