I don't really know how to explain this (not very good at explaining things) but my friend sent me this movie. Its sort of a documentary and it really gets you thinking (or pissed). The 3 parts all cover different things, and the (vague) description will probably explain it better than me.

Part 1:
"The Greatest Story Ever Told"
The True Foundations of Christianity.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8461754114455236037

Part 2:
"All The World's A Stage".
September 11th 2001 was the production of the century.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2602704786128880796

Part 3:
"Don't mind the men behind the curtain".
The Revoluton is Now.

Discuss (if you want to).

Let's see if we could analyze this. The number 12, called dozen, Zodiac, has been used many times. Not surprising they had 12 disciples. All messiahs are called Light, king of king, Children of God. All Messiah are resurrected after been dead. As far as the video said, only a few, such as Christ and Horus, resurrection after 3 days. Look at it another way, I never knew any stories about Chinese messiah that match their descriptions. Only Christ and a few other have been betrayed by their disciple. Correlation does not mean there's a connection of some sort. Also, only a few people know this, but Jesus was not born on December.

This video.....I don't trust it. It's not History Channel. God knows what it is.

I don't know or remember exactly how many of the facts are true or accurate, most of the stuff you don't get off the top of you head ya know? Not that these films sold me anything, but basically the underlying ideas I have aways believed were true. I've aways been into history of ancient civilizations and mythology and the like.

They are alike because we are all human. But that doesn't mean there's a connection. Besides......they are just making the theory work because they wish them to. Its a common mistake of all researchers, sometimes you unconsciously favour some data over the other to make your theory work. There have been thousands of Messiahs, how come they didn't mention any of those messiahs that didn't fit into their category?

Let ME use their way of thinking and analyze the connection of 666 to everything....
duhhhhhh......people are considered adults when they are 18. If you add 3 sixes together you get 18. There are twenty for hours in a day, if you multiply 4 by six, you get 24.

Well if the facts they used are indeed true it's still an interesting link. Just comes to show if you cut and nip old ideas you can make it appear new, I mean just look at some mangas!

Interesting, I only watched the first link though (about christianity and the sun). It's an intersesting theory but relegion is all about belief so even if you prove it wrong you can still believe in it smile

It's a good theory though but you shouldn't take it too serious. Not only do they filter out (like Ares6 mentioned) a lot of information, they even alter information they have if they have to. Plus they've also got the video-skills neccesary to make each fact, scene, testemony (more) credible.

I remember that a teacher once showed are class a video about the moonlanding in '69 being a hoax created by the us government, with proof that the actual footage of the landing was nothing more than a recording in a studio.

After the video everybody doubted the fact of the moonlanding, even I did for a second >_< (Well yeah there are still a lot of people that don't believe it I guess)

I think that the major aspect that allows videos to sound credible is the short timespan wherein they give you more facts than you can handle; instead of thinking about it you start just 'accepting' each fact so that you can listen to the next one. I'm not saying each video is a whole bunch of crap but the main point of a video thats going against something that's hard to go against in, is confusing people rather than convincing them.

That video contained a good number of ridiculous claims without backing them up with anything.
I only needed to watch the 5 first minutes of the first link... and had to stop.
And just a note, I'm not a shocked Christian... I'm not a deeply religious person, and I'm not even Christian either...
So like I care. But that stuff was meaningless. They send stuff that is hard to believe without any proof.
How can they say that Horus was born on December 25th when the Gregorian calendar was only adopted in the 16th century and even it's predecessor the Julian calendar was only introduced around a century Before the Birth of Christ...
The Egyptians worshiped Horus for almost 2000 thousand years already at that time.
And while It's true that in some later interpretation of the myth of Horus he was assimilated with his own father Osiris. But the original Myth was that he was conceived after the death of his father. Who was cut into 12 different pieces by Set his jealous brother(are these the apostle the video is talking about lol).
But his mother Isis found all the scattered pieces, stuck them together and resurrected him long enough to be able to have a child (meaning she was probably not a virgin).
And nowhere in the Egyptian Myth was there any mention of the virginity of Isis.
And even considering that they are using the blurry version that confuses him with his father. Making him his own father and having resurrected after death. He still was never crucified...
And most of the names on that list they showed super fast to confuse us... where not born of virgin mother either that I know off. I was always very interested in mythology so I kinda know the story of most of them...

Hey, I remember that one! That was convincing! Of course, I know nothing about being astronaut but still ever wonder why they haven't made any more trips or have started building stuff on the moon yet. Why are they instead making faulty space stations within the earth's orbit if the moon had been a "reachable" destination for so long?

Events are documented from someone's point of view we'll never know how accurate they are or if they are true unless we were actually there. Right now believing the moon landing is like a coin toss to me.

The recent "China sending man to moon" is equally questionable. It's another arms, space whatever race.

Hey man. I believe it. If China can already send a man into orbit then That moon landing in the 70's was true. And Zeitgeist should really get someone who actually knows what they are talking about.
