No thanks. Smoking isn't as cool as the world seems to make it look. No offense though. I agree with you on living your life while you can (who cares if you get lung cancer in ten years you could die tommorow from an accident or something). But my philosopy is just in case I end up dying of natural causes better take care of myself and live to 89 or 90. 😛

Pitiful, isn't it? Humans need chemical stimulants to make themselves feel 'happy'. They forgot what real feelings are.

As my Health teacher use to say to smoking: "Why don't you just kill yourself. You'll save the human race a lot of air" She was a health freak anyway.

My mother smokes and she's over 50 and has been smoking ever since I was born. I give her hell about smoking anywhere near me (second hand kills). I think it relieves their stress or something. Ahh I think smoking is down in general in america according to stats. Also France is implementing a ban on smoking in all public locations(or did it already happen?). Now that is cool. 😀

If you say that, then sugar, chocolate, and all other junk food are in the category of chemical stimulants.

However, chocolate doesn't kill you, smoking does.

Chocolate doesn't give you black lung, cancer, yellow teeth, Psoriasis, and a huge addiction.

Here's the best part. Second hand smoke is worse than first. People around people who smoke gets ill faster. You know why? No filters. People who smoke have filters. Great isn't it? They can't suffer alone but have to drag the rest of us with them.....

No offense to any smokers. I'm just trying to tell younger audience not to smoke.
It just gets me so mad when adults try to make kids smoke............just goes to show you what kind of people are living in this world....

let's list the numerous bad things in a smoke:
Tar, Carbon monoxide, Hydrogen cyanide, Free radicals, Metals, and Radioactive compounds(carcinogenic).

true that. But isn't nothing the best of all. I don't like being addicted to anything because you virtually become a slave to it and you no longer become the controller but the controlled. Your judgement is impaired because of the addiction and you will do things that you wouldn't do if you were not addicted. Live without chains holding you down and you are free to soar.(my attempt at ares6's words of wisdom at the end of a lot of posts notice I said attempt ares6). I guess my only addiction is manga and I haven't let it control me or ruin my life as yet. 😛

He, where I live there are only 6 fast food restaurants in the whole country. 3 kfc's a pizza hut a popeye's and a church's chicken. The food at the first two sucks and popeye's is ok but my family rarely eats there (once every three months). There are the local food places as well. But there is nothing like baking your own fresh pizza or making a delicious curry or fettuchini.(I'm a really good cook according to friends and family). Try it sometime.

I couldn't really care less about the consequences smoking has, it just smells bad, stinks really. Not to mention smoking looks stupid, ehehe (no offence to the chain smokers in here, my dad's a smoker as well 😀 )
