Hi hi! I am a solo member of a newly formed group,
Yiyi Manhua. The plan is to do projects that are within
the historical, fantasy, romance, and danmei genre.
Right now, I'm looking for a couple people who would
be willing to help out with the current projects!

Projects:
✧ Beauty in My Bed《danmei, historical》
✧ It's Not My Fault I'm Delicious《fantasy, cooking》

For more information about these two, please
visit this page. It contains the summary and
the raw link of these two projects! Having an
an interest is a big big yes!

Open positions:
Proofreader for 《Beauty in My Bed》
Go through the translation and correct grammatical
errors
within the script. They should ensure the
dialogue and speaking style of the characters remains
consistent and non-awkward without losing
the original meaning and do a check-over to make
sure the translation is correct and captures the
full intention of the original raw. I'm not sure how much
the workload is, since this is still an ongoing manhua.

⥽ Chinese to English translator for 《It's Not
My Fault I'm Delicious》
Refer to the original raw text and translate the Chinese
dialogue, sound effects, and thoughts into English
into a Google document. While the translation doesn't
have to be perfect, it should still be understandable
and readable. It shouldn't show evidence of MTL,
though using MDBG, Baidu, or other dictionaries are
fine. The workload is 11 chapters.

Requirements:
16+ years old. Partly for my own comfort, but also
because of potential content that may not be suitable
for those under 16. Just to be safe!
Knowledge of Chinese and English. You don't
have to be geniuses, but you shouldn't have to solely
rely on Google translate or Grammarly for every line.
Genuine interest in the project. I don't have
enough money that you can treat this as a job.
Stay for the duration of the project. It's okay to
drop if you have real life matters or a severe loss of
interest in the project, but don't join just to help with 1
chapter and then leave or ghost.
✧ Cry about censorship with me. You know how
China is with homosexuality... (note: this isn't really
a requirement, haha.)

Experience is preferred but not required!
All I ask is for you to complete a small test for each
role so I can see where you're at. It's overall low
pressure and, if you are proficient enough in
Chinese and English, shouldn't be too difficult to
complete. If you express interest, I will send you
the test file.

Payment:
I, myself, as a translator of Yiyi, do not intend to
profit off any of this work. I also don't have a stable
enough income to pay money for you to live on as
a freelancer, but I'd be willing to give you money as
a token of gratitude, if you'd like. This essentially
means that while I'd be willing to pay you, I don't
think I can afford to pay the standard rate from my
own pocket. I prefer you treat this as more voluntary
than paid - you'll have my eternal gratitude in
exchange (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ If you'd like to be paid while
knowing this, please feel free to let me know!

You'll probably get a faster reply if you reach
out to me via Line. That's the only place
where I get any notifications, and I may not
check here as often.

Thank you and hope to hear from you!

Updates:
【12.24.20】Found a proofreader! The
translator position is still open.
