Using the "What's New!" section of this site can sometimes feel like sifting through a mountain of crap to find a golden egg.

I think it would be a great time-saving addition if people were able to set genre-style search parameters similar to the advanced search engine currently on this site to customize their own personal "What's New!" section. The preferences they set would be linked to their account and remembered indefinitely like our reading lists.

So, for example if I were to filter out shoujo, I would no longer see new shoujo titles in my "What's New!" section. The preferences would of course be modifiable so if I wanted to see Shoujo again I'd just remove the filter.

This way people could login and see the newest titles of their favorite genres without having to browse through everything else, or use the advanced search every time they visit.

the what's new section seems to be using your release section filter. i filter shounen ai, yaoi and hentai and couldn't find a title from those genres in my what's new section.
