This isn't a recruitment thread so much as an offer of raws for scanslations to existing groups. I don't really see any place for people to offer services like this so I figured I'd pop it here.

I've noticed a large lack in HQ scans out there lately with many groups turning to public share scans that are less than stellar. In an effort to encourage groups to use better quality scans I am opening up my services to groups out there who might need them. I've scanned about 54 series for the scanslation community so I have a bit of experience.

Here is a list of manga that I currently have available to offer to groups. I do have a few other volumes but I haven't posted them up because I can only scan so much at once. 😀

Do you have requirements on who can have your scans?

Yes. I will only give my scans to one group per language. That will be the first group that asks me and meets all the following requirements:

1. You can’t be a brand new group. I won’t give my scans to a group who doesn’t know what to do with them. Sorry I’ve been doing this for 7 years now, I’ve earned the right to be picky. The only exception is if an experienced editor has started their own group and can show me they know how to edit.

2. You have to have a translator lined up for this and be ready to start on it. I’m not going to hold on to a project for you to stick in your future projects list that you might get around to in a year or so. I’ve had too many projects stolen out from under me and watched my hard work go to waste.

3. You have to edit out the sfx or at least translate them and do something nice with them. My scans aren’t for speed scanslators. I’d rather someone pass my scans up and the book sit on my shelf still bound than give it to someone who isn’t going to do a high quality edit.

4. No licensed series. If you have any on your project list don’t ask me for scans unless you are willing to drop the licensed series.

Jojo, I’ve seen your requirements and I’m not insulted by your demanding nature. How do I get the scans?

Please send an email to jojo_da_crow@yahoo.com with the subject “I’m interested in scans for X project” substituting X for the series you are interested in. I will look through releases from your group and chat with you some and we will see what arrangements we can come to. I’ll also send samples to anyone who requests them.

Do you need a scanner? Ask me about it and I’ll be glad to share. My scans are much higher quality than public share scans and I debind. I don’t mind scanning for your group if you meet the above requirements. If you already have scans then let me know and I’ll take it down. I don’t have time (READ: Jojo is lazy) to go through all 500 scanslations groups and make sure this isn’t one of your projects. So please be nice and don’t yell at me. I’m really not trying to steal anything these are just random manga I picked up at the store.
