Ok so pretty much everyone watches porn at sometime in thier life and that sometime leads to getting caught watching said porn. After I got caught by my parents they freaked and got really good at checking every aspect of the computers history. That isnt my problem though. my real problem is that while they were checking my history they noticed it was mostly hentai and they are scolding me for watching it because its not real. If anyone has any tips on how to ease the tension between us please speak up.

Edit: I forgot to mention that im a male (striaght) and im 16. The obvious answer of get a girlfriend doesnt fly because my parents have said if I so much as kiss a girl on the cheek they will ground and beat my ass for it. Any suggestions would be helpful.

well, you could always switch to real porn, if what they are worried about is you watching cartoon porn. Also, hiding it better wouldn't hurt.

It sounds to me like you're getting hit with "You can't watch porn because it's real" and "You can't watch hentai because it's not real", which really amounts to "We don't want to have to deal with you growing up just yet." That really leaves you no ground other than "Don't do those things at all," and they need to know (gently) that's not really an option anymore; you've grown up to that point whether they like it or not.

If there's something in particular that bothers your parents about this, then they need to speak up to what their real issues are, whether that is "These things are sensationalizing sex and we need to make sure you understand the consequences of these acts" or "The world isn't really like this" (which is true, for the most part, except in certain circles) or whatever. But the response of "You.... YOU JUST CAN'T!!" doesn't do them or you any good. That's just them avoiding the topic instead of dealing with it.

That's ridiculous. They're not treating you like you're nearly an adult who has the ability to make decisions. They're treating you like a 5 year old.

Sorry, but I doubt there's any reasoning with people like that. The only thing that I can think of is showing them that you are mature. That may mean giving it up for a while to prove it. It may mean waiting until you get out of the house.

i think most parents just dont wanna see their kids have only fantasies. having relationships tells them that you cal live in the real world and dont need fantasy to find pleasure
and i have no idea how old you are but if you are like 17 or something, just tell them that its no big deal. you will be 18 soon enough
if you are like 13 or 14, i would slap you. that stuff is not good for that age
bottom line: parents just want the best for you (most of the time). show them that you can find love in the real world and dont need fantasy. that should get them off your back enough for you to have free fapping rights behind their backs 😎

Also bottom line #2: show them that you are not addicted to that. And show them that you have a life, other interests and hobbies, a goal in life, and give them a sensible argument why you watch it sometimes (only if you are already old enough like robbit said). If you are like over 17/18, I don't think they should check your history and they should have you talk with them about that instead. And you can tell them that.

So your parents deny er... reproductive system of your organism? My father is sorta that type (he had an erotic photography as one of his hobbies, lol), but neither he nor my mother can't trace my manga or videos.

I second that any argument (no matter how reasonable) from your mouth won't work.

Control yourself. Find something else to do. Your parents will still trace your activities so you'd better not let them see too much of that. That stuff is not for your age. Wait until you are 18. Spend more time thinking of how to improve yourself in different aspects instead, so that you can get girls easily then. That's my advice. Take it or leave it.
