I have a suggestion for a General Notes function for series.

It would be an area for General Notes such as "Based on a Video Game" or things of that nature. There's really no place for them, now, so I see people putting them in the Description area.

I feel its something important, so maybe it deserves its own area.

EDIT:
This could also apply to group information and manga-ka information.

For groups you could use it to makes certain notes such as "Know for doing Yaoi", or something similar.

Well as far as groups, I don't want to put any editable information there. I don't know if there are any group rivalries but I don't doubt that it is possible. Better leave that fire unlit. For authors we already have the "Comments" thing... this kinda falls under what you wanted right? Also, for groups we list all the genres they do (in order of the ones they do the most) on their group page.

Hmm. I'll think about the General Notes for the series though.

Well, for authors I kinda wanted it editable, like for the Change I just submitted regarding Buronson being a pseudonym of Okamura Yoshiyuki. It could also be used to keep track of what the manga-ka is up to. Incase people don't know.

I guess for the groups thats best, since it does have the genre feature.

The comments can only be posted once though. Something editable would be good just for notes on series and manga-ka, though.

Still, its your decision. I just think information such as what I stated of the Pseudonym would be useful, so manga-ka don't get entered twice (once under the pseudonym and once under their real name). It might help to clean up the database.

Ah, so like an alternate titles field?

Very interesting problem...It's not a case that should occur a lot though. Probably something like how the series has "Associated Name" would work

Kaioh, as for your little Buronson/OKAMURA Yoshiyuki problem, it's temporary fixed with some info in the comment section for both authors.

Perhaps maybe the pseudonym issue can be done on a case by case basis, then?

Still, a general note section for manga would still be usefull, I think. Alot of manga have certain notes, such as if they switch serialization and companies (As is the case with Trigun, Bastard!!, and some others).
