So, I've watched both the animes for Chobits and Kobato. I do recognize that the two twins that are Chitose's kids look like chi and her sister. Only confusing thing is, how are they related? From what I remember, chi and her sister are robots? and that chi fell in love with their father/creator or something like that? But in Kobato, there's no mention of Chitose's husband and even when they eat, it's just her and her two daughters. They also eat, which means their not robots? Then how does this all work out?

Err, can it be just because Clamp reuses their characters a lot?

It's not that Chobits and Kotabo are related per se, but that Freya and Elda appear in Kobato.

Like what ForteAtrox said, CLAMP likes using their characters in multiple series.

if u read clamp's mangas, think of them as a multiple universe... where you'll find a the same yet not the same characters living different lives, and yet find the exact same character (like on the movie "the one")..

u cant just say they simple reuses the same characters. for me, the chobits part was somehow related by a few years(dunno how much) before the creation of persocoms. like, the chiroru manager is still with yumi. but the only thing changed was chitose was able to bear both children. in that case, the kobato story might as well developed both children died then chitose recreate them back, IMO.

In Chobits Chitose claims that her and her husband created Elda and Freya because Chitose was unable to have children.
on a side note the only series Chobits is directly related to is supposed be Angelic Layer and I don't think there are any recurring characters.
