Hey everyone i wanted to write a research paper on the comic book industry. I was hoping if i can get some advice and help. for the most part, i'm writing on whether or not if the comic book industry is dying or not. with the thoughts of it was dying and now its thriving again. any thoughts and details will be appreciated. Are you writing about the Asian comic, or the American/European, or both? I don't know the sales statistics, but I don't think the comic industry was dying... With all these recent movies it was reintroduced to the mainstream, but it was okay before too... at least that's what I think, I may be wrong...

I'm most likely going to write about american and also asian comics. People "think" that the comics industry is dying which is the argument? and i'm writing that its false. with all the movies being made every year, its making the industry stronger which is somethign i plan to add. I believe comics may have had a huge drop in viewership in america back in the early 2000s. with manga in japan i dont believe it can be dying. hahaha

You see, I am an Indian and I can tell from India that is not losing interest.People here love american comics when they are kids but start losing interest when they grow up. However the Japaneese comic industry have never been that much popular in here but it seems to be slowly gaining ground here with not only kids but grown ups taking interest in it. It's starting to become quite popular since people have started to realise manga is not only for the kids. So taking note of my surrounding I am not sure about the American induatry but manga is surely becoming popular. Even though Indians love watching the movies, they don't seem to have much interest in reading the comics.

Thank you for your point of view. It's interesting to see how comics can reach all the way around the world. And its a added poositive to know its growing. Maybe with the help of social media, people are becoming more interested in comics also. being able to reach out to fans and being able to talk to others about things just exactly as how mangaupdates forum is. Since people are watching more of the movies that are being released but still not reading the comics, does that still count as the comic industry still growing? a person that watches anime typically may not read manga. hahahah
