I think he did, but in the rematch Rua whooped that ass in the 1st round. 🤣

Rua was robbed in the first fight, but wasn't robbed at 113, boy did Machida look bad after the fight. 😲

their first fight was very close and I think that Machida won even though Rua was more aggressive he couldn't capitalize, and let Machida prove (at the time) why he was the champ. however Rua definitely brought his A game the second time around and didn't make the same mistake of letting the judges get the choice.

A lot more people thought Machida won that first fight than I figure there would be, I saw that fight and it look like he was getting he was having trouble dealing with Shogun's rush and only escaped with the belt cause the Shogun could capitalize and the fact that the judges were blind. Thankfully Shogun handle his business last night and there are can be arguments or controversy about it
