Skip Beat Live Action Talk

I don't know how many of you have watched the Taiwanese release of Skip Beat, but in terms of staying true to the manga, I can't really complain. I really think the script has been altered quite well to fit the change in setting.
It is set in Taiwan which makes all the traditional Japanese references, especially to Kyoko's character quite odd.
But a lot of the extra scenes are quite jarring. A few scenes seemed to push the characters out of their typical zone.
The scene where Gong Xi/Kyoko gets led into the love hotel district... >__< I wanted to cringe.
Also the minor characters aren't the best at acting which has made it quite a drag to watch. Do any of you agree? What are your thoughts on the drama thus far?

The beginning was rough and it was hard to get past the rough acting, but if you plow through it, it does get better and the acting becomes more evened out.
I'm looking forward to the cabinet scene next episode... something that the anime completely fell short of. . It's one of my favorite scenes along with the "trailer" scene....
