athough usually added for comic relief, the funny perverted character i want to strangle (aka the dirty old men in manga, like in Ranma 1/2) cuz they're just strange and don't really contribute to the plot (except the occasional bit of wisdom that could have been given by someone else). The sadistic perverts piss me off, cuz well... they're friggin sadistic perverts! Scourge of mankind is what they are.

usually i just hate perverted characters if they look bad even if they're losers the appearance determines it all

most of the time i like the perverted characters they usually the comedy..but sometimes they can ruin the moments... 😃

I'm kind of similar-I tend to detest the pervs in shoujo 'cause so many of them come across as abusive slime but are still supposed to be the good guys. I like the pervs when it's written as just normal boy behavior and hasn't crossed the line into creepy. Creepy pervs annoy me a bit, but can also make for fabulous comic relief.

Nope. There's usually a point to having them around, even if it's just so that you have someone to hate. Otherwise they might open up plot situations, make other characters look better by comparison, provide comedy, etc.

I'm not so sure...If they do it in a humurous way then I don't mind so much... But it's just annoying if that's their personality. Like it annoys me how an author can only think of one character trait for a character and expect us to love them for it.
