I have a problem when ever something I'm gonna say embarrassing happens i just cant read what happens next or I'll skip a few pages (werid i know right lol). Like if an person confesses in an embarrassing way (i.e while doing push ups/ichigo 100 (i think the anime but i could have been manga or both) i cant read anymore. Dose anybody have any advice or a suggestion because i like romance and there are a lot of parts like that in them and it sometimes makes me stop reading good series altogether

I think it happens because you identify with the characters. Stop doing that and tell yourself that it isn't real and it's supposed to be funny.
you know I used to have that problem like 10 years ago, take it easy. You don't need to continue to read if you feel awkward about it. Take a break and read it another day.

Don't worry, it's the same with me 😀 And probably with all people having a lot of empathy. I usually skip embarrassing pages and come back to them later.

oh that is so cute . you relate to the characters so much that you feel their embarrassment. you would be the perfect person for someone to test out their material on.

It happens to me too, sometimes. Usually when I'm watching a TV show (usually The Office). A character would say something and I'll just think, "Mmmmm, that was stupid. This is gonna be awkward." Sometimes I would have trouble looking, but I would force myself to watch it.

Well, it has never happened to me so I'm not really sure what you have to do, but my advice is; try telling yourself that this isn't real, it's only fiction. You might want to figure out what it is about the person who is embarassing themselves that you identify with (you know, whether it's the blushing, or the stammering or the fact that they're trying to sound cool and failing?) - then focus on the differences between your actions and theirs. Tell yourself that this isn't you, it's just someone who resembles you a little; and resolve to never wind up in such a bind yourself. You might also want to tell yourself that you can learn from this (like what not to do when you're trying to confess to someone).
Just remember that manga / anime is supposed to entertain you, not make you feel anxious. So if the story is making you very uncomfortable, just give it up and try something else. Come back to the scenes of discomfort a couple of times later on and try to overcome your emotions. If you really can't do that, then stop reading the story; you don't need to sweat it out over something that is supposed to be fun!
Roughly 95% of manga have some form of romance in them ; so don't worry, you'll be sure to find plenty that you can relate to and be happy about.
Lastly, keep in mind that this is most likely a phase you're going through. You'll overcome it eventually, never fear. Keep a list of the ones you want to read but can't...and resume after you feel the phase has blown itself out.
Happy reading! 🙂

XD ok thanks you guys have given me some good advice and others....funny comments 😀
YESSSSHAAAAA!!!! i thought i would be the only weirdo out there xD
but in my opinion if you tell yourself "it aint real dude" too often it would kinda kill the mood and the fun reading such things... i just force myself a little and it works (well most the time)

Yea... what I do is cringe, put my hands over my eyes for a few seconds, peek between my fingers, and slowly press the Enter key to go to the next page. It's tough though...

Hmm, I've started doing this with tv. Manga on the other hand, I read way to fast to realize such a thing is going to happen until it is too late.

Wow this is suprisingly common, I've had similar events were I get giggly about a slight embrassement for the character. I'll normally exclaim 'No he didn't!' sometimes its followed by a explative, but I can always keep reading. If you have a problem then just detact yourself from the character.
