One has probably heard of fan service but there's a new term which is a lot better.

Quote from Honey's Anime
And even though there are more manservice-filled anime today, there still isn’t a genre dedicated to sexualizing the male body.
What braindead idiot wrote this shit? You're telling me that all the "Manime" series, as well as ENTIRE catalogs of literature and media, out there, that feature masculine men having as little as nothing more than a piece of lion-clothe, is NOT "sexualizing the male body"? Also, you've had reverse harem series since the 1980s, Otome games since the 1990s, adult versions of those games less than a decade later (Once someone decided to cash-in on older women playing that genre), and the dozens of thousands of yaoi and shounen ai series produced over the decades (The oldest translated yaoi series I can find are from 1985 and '89 because looking for the oldest yaoi actually listed overloads the site's database, meanwhile the oldest shounen ai listed is from 1970).
And, even then, that's leaving out how, if you're looking for the "flamboyant" stuff, you have series like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, which has been in constant serialization since 1986, and has spawned an entire franchise that includes anime, video games, and live-action film adaptations. Or, if you're looking for the fetish gear attire, then you have series such as Mad Max and The Domestic Yapoo, which have existed since the 1970's.
