I voted "Autumn / Fall" because I absolutely adore Halloween, it's hands-down my favorite holiday, and even though it's a lot of work I really enjoy cooking for Thanksgiving, but I also really like winter.

In general I hate being hot and hot weather, so I like the cool seasons, and the weather in winter around here is more my style than any other time of year, especially with how things have been trending warmer and warmer over the years with climate change.

I remember fall used to actually get pretty chilly a lot of the time when I was a kid, but lately the summer heat extends pretty far into fall, and sometimes even Halloween ends up being hot.

Autumn is the best.

Summer's way too hot. Winter's way too cold. Spring is nice, but it's often times way too rainy.

Autumn is just right. It's the perfect middle-ground of temperatures, where you could just wear a long-sleeve shirt, or wear a jacket or sweater and be comfortable either way.

It's got some of the best seasonal food, too. Pumpkin, squash, potatoes, and even apples, are all seasonal to autumn. There's so many cozy, hearty dishes that can be made with these ingredients, and it's a large reason why I love this season so much.

It also has my favorite holiday, Halloween.

Huh. Surprising amount of fellow Autumn lovers. Guess it depends on the place you live at as well. Reminds me of that podcast i heard a while back about the seasonal afflictions, where the hosts were discussing that it is not Winter or Fall that are the most depressive seasons, but actually the Spring.

Summer. It's usually above 0C in Moscow.

I wouldn't have expected spring, I wonder why that is?

I've heard a lot of people struggle with seasonal affective disorder during the winter because there's less sunlight, but I guess maybe if they're spending more time indoors to avoid allergens that would mean they're exposed to less sun? Or maybe it's unrelated to the sun entirely.

For me summer is definitely the hardest season, it's way too hot to do anything, and it's a long way away from my favorite holidays so there's a big stretch of nothing to really look forward to, although maybe I get even less sun than I usually do since I spend so much time indoors avoiding the heat.

I swear the temperature affects my mood way more than anything else, I've felt terrible lately, and the feels like temperature earlier was 103 F (39.4 C), with an extreme heat watch in effect tomorrow warning that the heat index will get up to 110 (43.3 C). Spring can get a little warm for my tastes, but nothing like this, and it's got its fair share of holidays (although they aren't as fun imo).

As a Canadian hiker, spring and summer. Spring is my favourite time for desert hiking since you have the spring snowmelt and the days are getting longer instead of shorter. Then summer is the best time for hiking in the mountains around here, since some areas are still snowbound in the spring and there's heightened potential for snow in the autumn. The exception is big fords which are better in autumn (or at least at the end of summer).

The worst season is winter. I'm not into winter sports so it's not fun to be outside, and the days are too short. Not a huge fan of autumn either, since it's the season of impending winter, but at least the snow isn't usually sticking yet in autumn.
