Is this shounen ai series?

There is currently a war over whether this series should be listed as shounen ai or not. What do you guys think?
(And I will genre lock this into non shounen ai for now)

I honestly do think that it can be classified as a shounen-ai series, but as of the moment, it contains more subtext in my opinion, rather than actual romance between the centeral characters themselves.
If more chapters were to be released, I think we'd see more of a progression in their current relationship.

It doesn't really have any overt shounen-ai. Just little hints here and there. But I'm sure it can be read straight as well. Just because the cast is predominantly male doesn't mean it's BL, after all.

No, it runs in a shoujo magazine.
(But the mangaka usually writes BL.)

I think it has some here and there, but it's subtle.
Plus, the mangaka draws mainly shounen-ai. Even though it's in a shoujo magazine, I do still think it's shounen-ai.

Just check out the demographic of the viewers of the recent anime... Almost ALL of them are BL/shounen-ai fans!

Does the demographic really determine the genre, though? The mangaka writes shonen-ai so it's probably just all of her fans. They're probably even expecting BL (like myself) even if she has no intention of adding it.
With that said, Yuki and Zess BETTER end up together, or else I'm going to be PISSED off. Seriously? She's got all the guys paired off with each other. From volume 2 they had it bad for each other. She better not ruin any of it. And Tooko better keep her hands off of Zess. I can see what she's trying to do and Zess is already claimed!! >:-(
Great series, it basically blending everything I love in manga (action, fantasy, romance, violence, BL) into one series of pure awesomeness. I hope the mangaka doesn't ruin it for me!!

This series is Shounen Ai, but I don't know why B-U remove the Shounen Ai tag tho.
