what's your worst?

I say this cause I just got a bad case of AntiVirus Action. Try to solve it all afternoon. No luck. Had to System Restore.

One of my worst experience that I survived was the ntde1ect
It's a worm that attaches itself to every drive in your system. You delete one, it copies itself back from the other drives.
Took me hours to finally get rid of the sucker.
The way I eventually handled it was by deleting every copy at the same time plus using some registry hacker thing...

Then there's Conficker.
This bastard wasn't even detected till it was too late. By the time I found out, it was already too late; It had evolved to its 4th stage IIRC.
One shut down was all it took and my computer never got past the logon screen ever again...till I formatted of course.

Uhm.. I dont remember the name of virus that really gave me trouble, it's a local virus.
but it did multiple self-copying in my system, causing my computer to restart every 2 hours, hiding my files, doubling all icon and files, and automatically open a html files which contain a message that said

"all human have to keep the environment and safe the earth, all corruptor should send to nusakambangan prison, The government should cut the tax"

Meh.... looks who's talking, a bastard-cracker who messing people's pc dont have the right to say something like that..
In the end I have to re-install my system __

Antivirus Action, definitely!

I was so frustrated with all the damn pop-ups and not being able to access any of my programs and websites. Luckily, my brother's a computer-whiz and he got rid of the problem.

Hooray!

Well, my worst was just a random virus scan (I didn't notice anything wrong with my computer) and found 25000 infections (No extra 0's).

Not sure how that happened.

But so far I haven't gotten anything really damaging as far as I know.

Got infected from email virus. Sent virus emails to everyone on my list (somehow). My computer was in mayhem: I could hardly click, pop-ups kept popping up, computer kept restarting... A scan thingo popped up to help cure my problem. I clicked it. More viruses invaded = =

In the end, the whole computer was re-formatted and stuff. All my files were gone. But my computer is still living

In December I got hit by that botched AVG update... should have waited and read those Gizmodo/Engadget posts before I updated.... Screw AVG.
