I spent my valentine's.....doing nothing -_- I hate feb 14th...I spent all lunch sitting on a bench staring at nothing..all my friends went somewhere with their girls and etc. They should really make it a holiday or something..so ppl like me dont get all depressed just coz we're single 🙁

Valentines day is a corporate scheme to get people to waste their money on chocolates and cards and flowers that die within 24hours at super overpriced prices.
Well thats how i see it and probably cause i don't have a girlfriend this year BUT more because its a corporate scheme to get people to use money xD

Hmm? Don't quiet get what you mean. And I'm only talking about the flowers that die within 24hours and are super overpriced. Cause I walk past 3florists everyday and like the day before valentines day roses were all 3-6dollars, then on valentines day the cheapest ones i saw were 12dollars o.O

Not where I live. You posted at 6:24 pm. But as soon it turns midnight, I'm going to screem "It's my Birthday!" I would have been born on the 14th, but the Doctor was missing for 4 hours. 😕
Well I hear lots of people get dumped (the day) before Valentine's Day. I suppose you have less of a worry that you'll be dumped the day before your birthday.
Oh yeah, I also read an article in my newspaper where a local family where all the members were born on Valentine's Day. It seems really nuts. 😲 If I recall correctly, the husband/father and mother/wife, and their two children (not twins), were ALL born on Valentine's Day. And the wife even had a cousin born on Valentine's Day.
I suppose mom can really relate when her daughter comes home and she says "My boyfriend forgot it's Valentines' Day AND my birthday! >:-( ;_;" 🤣

But if you're a guy you would use Kon-kun since "-san" could be for males or females. I had a male classmate in Japanese class that preferred "-kun" and when I referred to him with the "-san" he objected to it and told me his preference. 🤣 😛
Oh well, since it's you're username, you're stuck with "-san" unless the admins would grant you a special favour. XD Or you can find some other way of making it clear you're a guy. XD

I think you'd still despise it if you were given the day off. But I think the only obvious "commercial holiday" (i.e. a "let's make money") that the government recognizes is Boxing Day. XD I read that Boxing Day use to be when masters gave presents to their servants.
But maybe it was just that you didn't plan right. Personally, I don't expect any guys with girlfriends to not taken up Valentine's Day. The guys will be in the dog house for a while if they blow off their girlfriends, and I suppose plans don't allow for more than two people unless it's a "relaxed" one (i.e. definitely not the candlelit dinner) and doesn't just have someone as a third-wheel or so. Maybe you could've found some single friends and got together, but probably going out to a restaurant wouldn't be a good idea as all the couples are already there. (Not to mention you wouldn't want to just throw yourself into a firepit with a bunch of single people surrounded by couples.)
