Definitely the iPod, though it's better if you have the iPhone, since you'll have two in one, mobilephone and iPod.
Ps: Do save your music in iTunes or in a hardware or USB, in case you update anything.

...does anyone actually use Zunes? Seriously, just get the iPod.

And anyway, I'm not sure why you used Youtube to look for a good comparison. I just googled it for you, and in about ten seconds got a a nice clear chart. Here's the link. And if that's not what you're looking for, I don't really think anyone can help you.

You know, i asked myself this question a couple of years ago and i went with the zune because i wanted something different from everybody else. Boy do I regret the decision. Today, zune is very much dead because of the lack of firmware updates. If I were you go with the touch because it is like an iphone but much cheaper. Also, the camera ain't that bad in the touch, but still not as great as the iphone.

However, the one thing I like about the zune over the touch is its headphones. The zune headphones are one of the best I've ever used in terms of comfort and sound (the bass is just perfect).

Umm I been looking on the net for those 2 and the chart you gave makes it clear that it's a tie between those two. However i have a friend who told me about if your itunes are on another computer/ laptop you cannot update it on another.

Both suck. Just get whichever fits your needs/budget better. At the end of the day, portable mp3 players are utilitarian tools, just like toasters and washing machines. It's fine as long as it does the job. Lets not even discuss audio quality, since true audiophiles don't take either device into consideration.

It think i can help, If you're still looking for an answer.
You should buy an iPod touch because apple has some good apps to read or download manga and even watch anime like manga rock and manga rock MF and komik connect and crunchyroll (watch anime). Also, if you use your iPod on another computer, you just have to authorized that computer to share your impformation. You can authorized/disauthorized up to 5 computers. Beside, with the new iOS 5 you can update your iPod touch or sync it wireless.

I see your point in so many ways they are utilitarian tools actually. I cant tell you how much mp3 players I went through for the past years. They are pretty much disposable goods, hence the reason for me looking for something durable. However, I am on the budget.

sigh I wish I can be paid for being a student <_<

Thanks a lot, what I was really worried about was the fact that I go back and forth with computers. I don't want to wait a day or 2 to update it. My friend who is off to school has the same probably as well.

Both Zune HD & Itouch need to sync. No drag & drop. I dislike iTunes, I've had problems with it...>.>

I've heard good reviews about the Zune subscription service. $15/month for unlimited song downloads, 10 of which you can keep forever. You get 10 a month.

If you want apps, then do get the iTouch.

I just use a sansa 4gb clip with a microSD card inside. $40 for the mp3 player & microSD cards are hella cheap. EXPANDABLE MEMORY FTW.

...I drag and drop music into my iPod all the time. The only time I have ever synced my iPod to put music and videos on it was when I first got it.
You can also drag and drop music from other computers without being worried about losing everything. I've done that many times before too.

You literally take the song(s) by highlighting them, and then dragging and dropping them onto the part of iTunes where your iPod is connected.

This is what I consider drag and drop to be, unless miko meant something different shrugs
