A new Suikoden installment is coming this time to the DS!

It's about 50% done already, and there has been screens and info released.

I'm not joking when I note I'm definitely considering to buy a DS just because of this.

I wasn't sure how to handle this topic. I was considering making a new one, but I had that feeling that it would be modded because this topic exists already.

Yes, I'm bumping this topic, after many months, but I think it is relevant.

Suikoden Tierkreis was released in English last March, so this topic is about everything related to it.

Anyone stoked for this game, or already has it? One other note is that though this is a Suikoden title, it is a complete spinoff from the main series, so you don't need to have played the other Suikodens to play this one.

I'm halfway done with the game~ 😀 It's a really interesting spin-off because it's completely different from the main games. Since it happens in an alternate universe (different from the past games'), everything's different; Stars of Destiny are now called Starbearers and Runes are now Marks of the Stars, plus, no returning characters from the earlier games. But don't let that turn you off 😀 Suikoden Tierkreis is one of the best RPG games out in the DS, in my opinion. It's really really interesting. Just don't let the voice acting (which is epic fail for me) and the different setting of it get into you 😛

Ah, after a few months, I have finished one playthrough without guides, hints, faqs, cheats, etc...It was quite easy to play, but fun as well.

I think I'll try getting all 108 characters this time.

On a side-note, I was hoping this game would get better reception/sales. It's a superb DS rpg, and while maybe not as on par with other Suikodens, it is well-made.

I think those who haven't played any Suikoden before playing this game end up appreciating this game more. Original Suikoden fans tend to frown upon this game for its many differences/faults....
