What's your opinion about this game? Personally,I think it's way better than Fallout 3, but all of the goddamn bugs make it unplayable at times (For example, after I beat it once I tried playing it again. But there's a bug that stops your player from leveling up in any new games, so I basically had to create a new profile to even play a new game).

I love it, combat is actually fun and the story is much improved from fallout 3 where it felt like bad fan-fiction written from people who've never even played the original games. bugs wise I've only had it freeze up on me twice but since the patch I've haven't ran into any real problems.
My only gripe was that I wish the strip was something more like Vault City in Fallout 2.

I really really like it, but there is no way it could live up to the hype it had going in my head.
That said, they really did improve and fix a lot of the problems from 3. Even if we all know we will have to buy DLC to keep playing after the ending.
I got lucky with the bugs though, the worst thing to happen to me is my companion vanishing, and reloading a save fixed that, even if I lost an hour and a half of play time, it's still pretty small compared to some other bugs people have had.
I am a bit annoyed that they fixed the free repair thing though. I actually deleted the game data after patching just to get the repairs done one last time. 🤣

never liked fall out, seems bad, I don't know not my kind of game.
I like JRPGs more than western RPGs I don't know why.
the free roaming stuff is not really for me I just like to go straight to the story. That is why linear stories is not a problem for me
Starter of Controversy.
Really good. I only played like maybe 4 hours and just did exploring (bah. time constraints) and getting the feel. Hope that great mods are on the way.

I thought (and still think) it could be an excellent game, If the masses of bugs were fixed. I just couldn't bring myself to fully enjoy the game when my enemies are halfway through the ground, or I'm expecting to have my followers vanish. Hopefully the debug team will work some miracles before the holiday DLC comes out. However, I agree that the game (when it works) is a step above Fallout 3 in terms of story and exploration. I was half expecting to find a working Highwayman this time around though.
[Edit: Played it on the console, Toshiba Satellites don't like to game very well.]

I'm getting it for Christmas from my brother, coincidentally I'm also giving it to that same brother for Christmas. Yes, I know, why didn't we each just buy it for each other, but we are both admittedly very hard to buy gifts for, so, we just did it this way.
I loved Fallout 3, it's one of my favourite games ever so I'm really looking forward to next weekend. Checking out the PSN Store there still aren't any DLC's for it, but I'm hoping eventually there are a bunch for it, just like Fallout 3.

Great game a markable shift back towards the greatness that was Fallout 1&2! Great improvement over 3 which was a good game but the main story line was vapid and Hollywood-ish. I am kinda sad that Bethesda are going to be making the next one. Obsidian just seem to understand the Fallout Universe better. I really loved the Vault experiments they had in NV, really mind-fuck stuff.

There is a Highwayman in the game, a wrecked one. Seems to be nod towards 2, even has a boot full of energy weapon ammo and the theme from Redding plays in the background of the area.
