Yeah it is a really long story with a very slow progress.
But when you read all available chapters in one go, it's not draggy at all.
Every little thing that happens is important for the character development of the heroine.
In my opinion the series can have 40 volumes and it would still be great and funny. lol
I love the series now as much as at the beginning!

Go Ren! Go Kyoko! xd

Okay you can't say it is annoying now!!! The story is finally picking pace, and kyoko FORGOT Ren's b'day!!! Not to mention REINO came back for chocolates, and Moko back in! Totally skip beat, and the chapter was funny! It looks like the pace is finally picking up!

Meh, I think it's still gonna continue slow-paced... And someone wanna explain why it totally jumped from the crazy chick joining the LoveMe section to V-Day?

I'm totally excited about it too! 😀 I wonder what Kyoko's going to do! Anyways, I didn't get the whole big jump thing either and I'm still wondering how and why the girl went into the Love Me section but my uber happiness of seeing Ren (and OMG! Reino!!! 😲 ) again is big enough for me not to care too much about it. Also, I think that the possibility of Sho appearing in the next chapter is about 85%. Even though I'm slightly confused I'm still happy that we're finally in a new arc! 😀

who cares about chiori!!! She probably asked to be put into the Love mke section, so what is there to explain? I mean she was pretty calm in those horrid overalls, so she must have put herself there because she knows she has some major issues. Also the filming for box r began on jan 13th, and kyoko had problems for several days till natsu was born. Then the whole chiori thing which must have taken up some time. So it really isnt much of a time jump when you think of how close 10th feb is to the aftermath of the whole natsu vs chiori stuff.

The manga was funny, but it's too shoujo and
slow-paced for me. (I dropped it at 130) Sorry but
it's my opinion.

i love this story. starting with the loser who was her life on, Kyoko's attitude and actions ultimately have a positive affect on the people around her. Sho to Ren, Ruriko to Chiori, they've all benefited from knowing her. a story like that takes time.

the plot is a good one. impatience to see what's next and the frustration of only knowing one piece of a bigger story makes it hard. the story goes at a good pace if you read it arc to arc.

it's different from other shoujo because the story is specifically about Kyoko's journey to becoming a more well-rounded person when she starts off so emotionally challenged. that, of course, includes romance and work related problems but neither of those things is the main focus. very un-shoujo like. which is fine by me.

Totally agree with you. 😃

Not annoyed at all. Each chapter has a purpose, and still related to the overall theme of this shoujo.

The funny thing is, with the current development of the story, any reader will find himself/herself going back to the other chapters just to "refresh" and keep up with what's going on.

I found a clever way to deal with "skip beat addiction". I read other mangas and decide whether or not kyoko and ren can "play" the roles in those other mangas if they ever "become live action".

Skip beat addict forever. LOL

The only reason why it seems like it's dragging on is because we are waiting for the next chapter for almost a month each time. I read everything that has been published so far in one go a week ago and I realized that the pace is perfection itself. No boring parts, the story is composed perfectly, the pace of everything is just right and it's the most exciting, best manga ever made.

I don't find it annoying but it does seem to drag on because after reading several chapters (or volumes) only a little portion of I want to progress is progressing. It's really addicting to read, but sometimes the slow pace kills the momentum.
Good thing when I reached volume 17, I put it on hold and waited months just to continue again to until chapter 155 lol. Because right now it's really getting somewhere now.

Just remember... wut u want is not wut most want... nor wut the mangaka wants... Heck if life gave us wut we want always... we'd be at war with each other forever.

Anyway... its sad but this i say as a guy's view point ... lol this gets long!!! all those cute things go waaaaaaay slow. I know girls may like to get more details about the things in the lives of those chars so i cant complain we males dont have enough brains to keep our brains interested in those things on the long run... but 😀 if something i learned from reading naruto was to save BULKS of vols for the mangas i like and read them all together so 😛 i dont feel stuff's draggin on. That way ^^ im quite happy with most series and this is one of those. i just read the whole year i was missing out and I still like this manga like tha 1st day... And sadly my deja vu is still there and 🙁

she will end up with Sho i just know it :( .

Lets wait till vol 40 or 45 to see the end 😀 maybe i will read it together with my future kids in 10 or so years lol.

i'm honestly just curious, does anyone feel that Skip Beat is sort of dragging on, i mean, in the beginning it was totally cool cause she was so different than many other main characters in other manga, but it seems that the manga has no end and the dude (forgot his name) won't confess or anything. I'm totally caught up on the reading and the releases, but i would like to know how others feel about the length of this manga and the slow pace. give me your insight please! 😀

Yeah I agree. That's why there was a period of time where I rejected this manga and then I come back to only find that so many volumnes have been translated. SO I began reading it and it was still really good. So it really is better to read manga in bunches than to read then one chapter at a time.

I think it's getting close cause Ren finally understands his feelings, but it's Kyoko that's making me mad. Obviously her action say yeah she has a thing for Ren. But damn you SHO!! and Beagle...Bastard 1 and Bastard 2 are always ruining things...But yeah I feel bad for Ren.

I think it's still a worth while manga to read...you just have to wait for many chapters to pass by...

yeah i liked the last arch but this one with Kain. I'm confused and bored. I liked when she was filming her second drama (is that even over?) can we have BAMF Kyoko back?
