Well, I think the title explains what job Im applying for 😛 Heh heh~

Well, first things first, I have self-typesetted for practice, but havent done anything for scanlations so, I guess I am a total beginner to all of this, but Im up to learning~

I don't use photoshop, I use Microsoft paint and SAI Paint Tool (this is for rotating the text and I always find it fun to use), but I can easily get the job done~

Boundaries:
-No yaoi... it bothers me... (im not a homophobe, I just dont like Yaoi). Yuri is fine~
-No hentai... Id rather not get imprisoned for 15-25 years thank you very much (long live Canadian court laws sarcasm) 😀 and if possible, no borderline-H >_>

I might have issues but I can deal with most content xD I can get squeamish if its a horror manga... I hate blood, even if its drawn blood~

I will try out a test if you require me too, I dont mind~
I dont use IRC, and dont really plan onto 🤢 (And for some reason my computer is a bum if I try to download it, so... yeah xD)

Ill also double check any scripts sent to me because I dont like many grammatical errors... though I might miss some 🤢 (so basically I could be considered a safety)

Sorry if I went overboard with specifics, its my first time~
I hope I get a response =D

You might want to learn how to use apostrophes if you want to offer your proofreading services...

I was wondering why people wanted photoshop users, thanks for clearning that up! 🙂

Also, you cannot edit with MS Paint. Cleaning is impossible, typesetting is possible but will probably look awful. Groups require their staff to use Photoshop because of all the tools it has. Without those tools the quality of editing will be awful, the entire release will be bad because MS Paint is too basic. Most groups ask specifically for Photoshop but GIMP is the free (as in, legal free) alternative.

I'm just curious to see your typesetting work, could you post a sample?

Yeah, as it has been said, if you really want to join a group as a typesetter I really recommend getting PhotoShop. Putting aside the quality of the end-result, there's also how much time it will take you to typeset a chapter. Simple tasks like stroking or warping text (or really, just text placement), which just involves 2-3 steps with Photoshop, would probably take you longer to accomplish in Microsoft Paint. Although some groups are lenient with time, if the final version isn't acceptable to them, you'd have to do it all over again. D: Trust me, that is a pain.

Other reasons why Microsoft Paint wouldn't be a good idea to typeset with. xD
-Not all fonts are compatible with Microsoft Paint.
-Microsoft Paint has no layers. VERY important.
-You can't save in PSD. (I've yet to work in a group where you don't save your work (editing) in .psd)
-Does not have all the required tools needed to typeset.

Anyways, it sounds like you're willing to learn so that's always good. :]
