Last time I heard Electric Eel Shock they were indie so I don't know what's happened with them in the last few years. The Blue Hearts are really old school. They're actually punk rock if that's okay.

Thank you. EES Rocked! Getting some of their songs now. The Blue Hearts were good, just a bit to old fashioned for me.

You may try the artists of Japanoise scene like Boredoms, Melt-Banana, Boris, Ground Zero etc. The stuff may sound too Avant-garde but the scene is pretty unique and it's mandatory for everyone who's interested in japanise rock music.

Yea i like some of their stuff. I really liked the song Heiwa. I dont like a lot of their rock songs. The Vocalist doesnt really have any range, and only an ok voice. =/. I like their rap feel a lot better.

Jikuu Kaizoku seven seas is a cosplay band, but they rock pretty hard. Their guitarist Eita is pretty hardcore. Also they're bands like Last Alliance, and L'ArcenCiel.

Heh they are good. Never heard of melodic death metal before. Its just a bit to metal for me. I like some normal vocals. Some screamo is fine, but whole songs of it arent my thing. T

It's not screaming, it's growling. Melodic Death Metal is a sort of a misnomer imo because all it really is is either a simple or complex melody over your standard metal riff.
Oh, and BTW, the term screamo refers to a whole separate genre of music.

Well i know that but i didnt know what else to call the vocals, and now that you said growling (Which makes more sense) i know. Got any other bands? Less growling though.

Number Girl
and subsequently, Vola and the Oriental machine....Zazen Boys if you're feeling adventurous
Fujifabric, though much of the time they sound pop-rock-ish and the lead singer sounds a little monotnous
