Okay, so early in the series, Teresa flashed some dudes and apparently Claymores are hideously disfigured. Any idea of how or why or what their front torsos look like? Do you think this will come up again later in the series? Do you think Raki will ever see Clare's disfigured body?

probably. Or maybe it's just hideously scarred. Really hope the author brings that up again. If Raki and Clare end up together, he'll probably have to wear a blindfold everytime he has sex with her.

I wondered that too...

I'm just guessing here but it probably has something to do with the process of becoming a half yoma, when yoma flesh and blood are infused into the body.
Clare asked Teresa if it still hurts, so in addition to it looking hideous, it probably looks like a wound or a scar.

And then again, Teresa might have been messing with them by disfiguring her own body temporarily (almost like a partial awakening)... it seems incredibly unlikely but it is Teresa we are talking about lol...

I have a feeling that it will come up again during something really important...

whatever it is, it's gotta be on the right side. I went back and read the chapter, and it shows the left side of Teresa's left breast and it looks completely normal. Maybe you're right about he temorarily disfiguring herself.

That could be right that she morphed her body to fool thoses bandits.....Because when Clare kill Ophelia after she awakens and reverts back there doesnt seem to be anything wrong with her.... 😕

Might not have to. If memory serves Claire is only 1/4 (or was that from the anime? only) while others are 1/2 yoma.

I imagine a love scene between a claymore and a guy:

The girl undressing slowly, the guy gets really exited, there is a beautiful woman in front of him that will be his in any moment. The girl reveals a perfect breast, the guy feels like his blood is boiling, then she reveals the other one, and a Freaking jouma head! The guy is speechless in shock, the jouma opens his eyes and says: Helow handsome!! 🤣

But seriously, it has to be something really gross to scare some rapists. Rapists don't turn off that easily, specially with a naked willing woman in front of them.

I think a half open huge scar, with necrotic tissue, like when the body rejects a transplanted organ, but there is human and jouma tissue. That would be reaaally gross, enough to scare away any rapist.

I was thinking kinda like a spiral in the middle of the abdomen, where your abs/stomach resides. It would be a spiral of yoma and human flesh, and the yoma flesh would be a sickly purple color, whereas the human flesh would be normal in parts, but other parts red and inflamed. There would also be bits of yoma mixed in the human flesh; mostly teeth, but prehaps some hairs as well.

Don't ask me why I imagined it like this, I don't really know. Thats just what came to mind when I first read it.

When I first read it, I thought it was like some sort of huge wound in the abdominal area that refuses to heal. It would look all raw and festering, with sores all over.

I guess I think that way because the would-be rapists actions made me think they're more disgusted than horrified. So instead of imagining something that would make me piss my pants, I tried to imagine something that would make me want to puke.
