Honestly I thought this chapter was pretty boring just more of Gaara's stupid family issues. Oh well atleast we get a good fight in the next chapter...or atleast we better

1. Badassery. I love being, doing, and living it. I also enjoy seeing it as it usually makes me cry man tears.

He is a kinda and caring Kage. He cares about his village, his family, his friends and even his allies. He has just found out that he was completely wrong about his mother not loving him and his father has pretty much just admitted that he was wrong to do what he did to Gaara and that Gaara is a better Kage than him. I think alot of people would cry if it where them.

And I too enjoyed this chapter, I'm glad that Gaara got some familial closure out of this horrendus battle.

If there was a real evil in the universe it would be the illusion that man creates to defend its Forsaken Ideals.

nice chapter with gaara and all but god i cant wait for next chapter 🙂 cant wait to see what Itachi says to Naruto if anything or if he finds out about Sasuke and see if what Madara said was the truth! 😀

Yeah, I can't believe that I hadn't even thought about this...so, now Naruto can be trained by Itachi and Nagato during the next few chapters (obviously not physically). I feel so stupid that I missed this one.

Also, it is kind of nice to know how similar Gaara and Naruto actually were.

Meh. It is such a waste giving Kishimoto the Jump cover. He always draws some variation on Naruto's big head! (Also, Sasuke happily chilling as part of Team 7 in the color spread? Pretty clear indication where Kishimoto's head is at regarding his status as a villain.)

LOL. I can see what you're all saying about Gaara's tears. I think if there hadn't been so many panels of Gaara looking crushed/on the verge of crying, it might have been easier to take when he finally did? From a character development standpoint, the stuff with Gaara's mother, uncle, and father were the biggest tragedies in his life, so I'm glad he finally got closure on that.

I wouldn't get too excited about Naruto "fighting" Itachi. The chapter title was probably a troll. It was Nagato who sensed Naruto coming (and seemed happy over it), and it was Nagato who talked about fighting Naruto. Itachi didn't react at all. It looks more like a Naruto vs. Nagato fight (cough heart-to-heart) is being set up rather than Naruto vs. Itachi.

Yes, Naruto is not Mahou Sensei Negima, and I'm glad the battles mean something for the characters. I think always has been this way in Naruto, since the beginning (Zabuza and Haku vs team 7, Gaara vs Naruto, Sandaime vs Orochimaru, Battle of the sannin, Chiyo vs Sasori, Shikamaru vs Hidan, Jiraya vs Nagato, Naruto vs Nagato, Sasuke vs Itachi, etc.).

People moaning about Gaara crying doesn't make sense, the character has evolved and he's not a cold killer anymore, but a caring leader bearing the pain and fear his relatives impossed on him. Now, the burden has turned into his father acknowledging him as a man and a leader, one who has overcome the hate of the ninja world, one who has surpassed the previous generation, one who is loved. I cried too (again).
