Songs that bring back any sort of memory, whether it be good or bad. I only have one that I recall (a sad one), it may seem pretty dumb in other's eyes but it really left a mark on me.

Song: Seemann by Rammstein.

Summer of 2012, an orphan kitten was by my door the whole night (I heard some faint meows at night but thought it I was just hearing things), and in the morning there is was curled up by my door (only a few weeks old). I took care of her for about a week, sleep with her, fed her, everything... just like a baby. I tried to no avail to find an owner and eventually tried looking for people I know to take her in. Eventually, I came out empty handed and had no choice but to bring her to a shelter. I would of kept her for sure, but my cat of eight years has bad social problems (blame her Mother) and stayed in my basement the whole time the kitten was there. She would only come up for food and to use her cat box, but she was highly tensed and would do nothing but growl and hiss at the poor kitten when she saw her.

The kitten would always sleep right under my neck, not my lap, always my upper chest. One day I added the song above to my iPod and played it while she was sleeping on me, and tears just split down my cheeks from hearing it. I didn't need to know the lyrics, the emotion of the song hit me hard. But after reading the lyrics online I honestly can't listen to the song without crying. It's on my iPod still, only so I will never forget about the kitten, Akiane.

Kitty...

The song that never fails to evoke nostalgia in me is "Gorodok" (small town) by Anzhelika Varum.
It's the ending to the eponymous sketch show.
It brings me back to a simpler time, back home, with me sitting on the sofa together with mother watching it. I don't remember much from the show itself, but we never turned the channel when the ending was still playing, and often sang along.
Whenever I hear it, my heart is filled with sadness, home sickness and regret, so I hardly ever listen to it anymore.
