I'm guessing the Gantz suit didn't melt off of Kurono like other people's clothes did because it might have been made, but I'm kinda throwing punches in the dark with that guess...

And my guess is that those bugs are there to get rid of the human bodies, cause those people were complaining about the smell as they entered the tunnel.
