This year's 35th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has announced on Monday that the next issue will ship on August 9 with a 15-page story from Rakko 11-gō (Otter #11) — the manga from the fictional world of the Bakuman. manga series. Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata's Bakuman. story revolves around two aspiring manga creators in high school. In the world of Bakuman., a professional artist named Kazuya Hiramaru created Rakko 11-gō, a hit gag comedy manga about otter people. Rakko 11-gō was even made into an anime in Bakuman.'s world.

Viz Media announced at Comic-Con International last year that it licensed the Bakuman. manga for North America. An television anime adaptation of the manga has been green-lit for this fall.

That was a lot cooler than I expected it to be. If it were real I would probably read it.

So I guess the manga in the manga is on the same timeline as the manga created by the mangaka that made this manga in the manga.

Ermm.. Modern-day Kira is a reference to Death Note? So I guess Otters is in the same universe..
