You know how in some forum posts there are pages....and pages...and paaaaages of replays and random banter. What if while scrolling down the page we could click i like this reply (or something to that effect) so that people could find the funny or relevant posts as opposed to reading every single post. Just an idea. 😃

Hm? Do you mean having a shortcut link to the post?

Like for example:

http://www.abc1234.com/threadid?=141#122 ?

Btw, totally love your avatar and sig. ;D Where's it from, btw? 😛

Not really a shortcut...just kind of like rating points for someone's Post. like it'll have a little star next to it if some one or like 5 ppl said they liked it...and the like button could be ryte next to quote...that way when ppl are scrolling and reading an old post or sumthing knew they can read all the simple good stuff.

P.S. it's K' from King of fighters i made the sig 😀

I'd only think this useful in the "looking for" forum. If it's a discussion forum then there wouldn't be very much criteria for what constitutes a "useful" post or not.

oo i second that....the i'm looking for section would be easier to access then, like yahoo answers....maybe some kind of ratings/thumbs up and down (like youtube) to signify the usefulness of the post in response to the search/query of the thread starter 😃

You mean something like gamespot's comment system? Where we can vote thumbs up or thumbs down on certain comments?

hnn... I don't know. It sounds sorta useful at first, but the experience is different from going through all the posts yourself. Plus, would there be an "I don't like this reply" feature to go with it? There will always be some people who post opinions that others *don't *like, and some people just choose "like" or "not like" based on their own biased views, and not on whether the post gives insight to the topic/point at hand. Meh. Anyways, don't most (if not all) people post things that they hope others will enjoy/appreciate reading, in the first place? I think this is sort of unnecessary.

Yeah, it might cause some strife...

It could fit well in the "I'm Looking for..." section, though.

Forget about the i don't like option. Thats pointless seeing as it's a forum and everyone is entitled to thier own opinions as long as it's within the rules and that is not part of the idea. There are normal posts on one hand and then posts that have been liked by alot of ppl whom are just reading through. The great thing is that it doesn't take away from any expierience because you can just read through and ignore a tiny little star on the page. I on the other hand would like it to filter through boring comments and just get the jist of an argument or an opinion or read sumthing funny ahoaho or dr. love said
🤣
