I’m currently reading the English version of a manhwa on the Manta app called “Mission: Save the Hunter”.

I don’t see people talking about it, which is a shame as I think it deserves attention. It takes place in one of those dungeon incursion type universes where people awakened as hunters need to close dungeons so they don’t break and release disaster.

At the centre of the story is a hunter who hides his real name (and his S-Class level) because he is only one of only 2 survivors of a “Great Dungeon” that happened 10 years in the past, and he suffers a lot still from that event.

The series starts with one of the biggest guilds trying to find him by buying up various other guilds that they suspect he may be a member of, and gathering all these potential “diamond in the rough” hunters together and testing them because they think one of them is the surviving “hero” of the Great Dungeon event from 10 years ago.

That’s how it starts. It is a slow burn story, but it is definitely BL. It’s well written, emotional and the art is excellent. Currently 11 episodes into season 2 of the English version on Manta.
