hi there. I have a friend who really likes manga and I was thinking of getting her a subscription to an American manga magazine 'cuz she doesn't like reading manga online.

she likes yaoi / shounen ai, shounen, and occasionally some shoujo.

any suggestions on magazines aside from shounen jump and shoujo beat?

I... don't think there still are any other Manga Magazines aside from Shonen Jump being printed in America. Shojo Beat recently came to an end as you know...

while i was in America, i think i saw a magazine called Yen Plus. it looked like it had both shoujo and shounen in it

Right now Yen Plus is the only thing out there unfortunately. Shojo Beat just got canceled. Shojo is floundering

it's worth it because you get to read both manga and manhwa.however,it's kind of irritating because they stop showing one serie in just a few chapters to get you to buy the whole tankōbon.

Bother. I didn't know about Shojo Beat until just now.
