I've been using Opera for almost 5 years, and wonder why I didn't use it before that.
Built in VPN and ad blocker, Flow feature that allows you to put notes that you can share with other device (as long as it's still Opera), screenshot feautre that allows you to put text, highlight or doodle in the screenshot, and most importantly the ad-ons that makes me able to use WhatsApp without having to open a new tab/window and the Opera Workspace.
Unless it's necessary, I never use Chrome or Firefox anymore.

All of them for various things.
Firefox on Android mostly since it has an ad-blocker on my phone.
These options are a bit weird though since Chrome, Edge, Opera, Samsung and default Android are all Chromium-based.

Yeah, I wouldn't touch Opera's VPN with a 10-foot pole. Opera being Chinese-owned aside, it gets a lot of bad reviews for its lack of real security features so it's not recommended if you're using it for privacy reasons.

I don't have any problems during my 5 years using Opera. I use Opera because it's very practical. "Privacy reasons"? I think every browser is just the same in that aspect.. Chinese-owned or not.

My main browser is pre-v.29.2.0 Pale Moon (29.1.1 on my desktop, but 28.17.0 on my Linux laptop, as I haven't found a way to hold of a 29.1.1 binary for it… Linux has its drawbacks…), but also Chrome and Firefox, to use where Pale Moon doesn't work as well. Oh, and I also have Opera, on my desktop, but that seems unnecessary. Wont bother re-installing it, next time I I change my hard-drive.
(as for smartphone, that's a completely different issue, with a whole different set of options, so I wont bother addressing that)

I don't mean the browser as a whole, just the VPN tho.
Opera the browser without the VPN isn't too different to any other Chromium-based browsers. Opera's VPN is just a glorified proxy and pales to other VPN services so I wouldn't say the browser having its own built-in VPN is a positive if you want to argue for Opera.

I would prefer to use Firefox for all my browsing and not support Google or any other Chromium browsers, but I have an Android so that ship has already sailed (for the record, I am not going to switch to Apple. I can take measures to protect my data, but I can't do anything about admittedly valid security impeding on my QOL or forced reliance on the Apple environment)

I think Firefox + uBlock Origin works for most regular browsing applications.

Firefox. I use it on my tab and phone, too. I don't have any complicated reason for it; I just like it cos it's served me well all these years and imo is a lot more convenient than Google Chrome, interface-wise.

This question should be multiple choice, I use Firefox on my private PC, Chrome (+ occasionally Firefox) on company PC and Opera on mobile. 😀
Every browser has some kind of advantage over the others when used on that specific device. At home I love Firefox for the add-ons (session manager, tab manager, page saver and so on). At work I need to have many tabs open at all times and being able to group them and thus lessen the space they take up is a life saver. All the tabs I don't need at that moment can be hidden (but still open) in a group, so they're not in the way. Plus Office 365 runs best in Chrome. And on mobile I use Opera for the way it handles tabs. I've been using all of these browsers for years and got so used to them that I wouldn't change them. 🙂

Been using Vivaldi on desktop ever since Opera changed from presto to chromium, which would've been fine (vivaldi is chromium-based as well) if they hadn't stripped all the customization and functionality that I liked about Opera 12 before.
On my android phone, I use Firefox.
