I can't think of any examples for this one, but can you think of any kind of manga (anime/game) character who were totally awesome as a kid, but became complete failures as adults. Like... I don't know, they've just lost something important of their character... They're not the same anymore!

I agree with Gohan. How could the most powerful being in the universe be put into an embarrassing and boring job like that? Even though his wife and father-in-law already have a shitload of money? What sense does that make?

But I guess the one I'm disappointed in the most is Ichigo from Bleach. Remember how he was before he went to Hueco Mundo, when he was a protagonist with a punk attitude that wasn't annoying and was actually refreshing in shounen stories? Yeah, I miss that too, because from the moment he stepped into Hueco Mundo, all the way to before he turned into Super Hollow, he's been acting like an android that was fed a disk with the program "Generic Shounen Protagonist V.5".

Yotsuba, from Yotsubato? That'd make me fly over to Japan and punch Kiyohiko Azuma in the face.

The caracter that come to my head is Walter from Hellsing. As a boy he had a lot personality. Then he becomes Integras driver.

Still here...

The main characters from Naruto were bad
Gohan was one of the worst I have seen
and grown up Yotsuba would be absolutely terrible
