I have seen both TV series for this show and I was thinking about reading the manga, but I have some concerns as it's based on the novel.So some of my questions are:

How similar the manga is to the novel?

Also does anyone know or think that the manga would cover the whole novel? Cause I know Shakugan no Shana didn't even come close to finishing it.

I read the novel until volume 6. Manga version skip volume 2 and 4 of the original novel.

Were volumes 2 and 4 covered in the anime?? Though thxs for the info I may do that.

yeah, they were covered in the anime. nut the anime stopped around LN Volume 12/13...
and imo, the anime isn't up to the quality of the LN's... they're good, one of my favourites (because of the franchise though, not overall)... but they're not that good...
i highly suggest you read/watch Railgun/Choudenijou instead

Well I have the manga for To Aru Kagaku no Choudenjihou haven't read it though and am up to date with the anime. Railgun manga is it something completely separate from the LN story wise? Cause it says it's adapted from on Baka so it's make me wonder, considering it refers to the Index manga as main story.

Also I took your guys advice and I got the LN if I can read the GoT books(1100+ pages) I;m sure a 200 page LN is nothing lol.
